Nesting isn't just for the birds....

So, apparently nesting isn't just for the birds...We had a serious case of it this past weekend, and it's still going strong!

We took all the junk out of every nook, crany, and cabinet space and reorganized the entire house including the garage. Then, we went through every room and put together what I like to call our "wish list" which consists of to-do items such as crown molding throughout the house, granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms, tile floors, new and updated paint, etc. I have even convinced my dad to come out for a couple of weeks if he can...Brian and I will take some time off work and help to do the major construction projects like our master bathroom and renovating our backyard!

Other than that...pretty normal so far...I can't believe I'm ten weeks along. Just 6.5 more months! Everyone says I should just relax and everything will get done before the baby arrives...but 6.5 months is not a lot of time when you work full time and do real estate on the side! Houses don't clean themselves, you know :o)

Well, better get back to organizing...we have a lot of comic books to sort through...and Brain says I am the one that doesn't know how to let things go, sigh! Here are some pics of our work in progres...we'll post some soon of the finished products. So far, we've redecorated the guest bedroom, guest bathroom, office, family room, and dining room. Stay tuned for more updates....

A Christmas present that came early...

They say a family is a journey to forever...well,
we are excited to announce that our "forever" has just begun!

Brian got the news when he received his "early" Christmas present...needless to say, when he first unwrapped his present and all he got was a book, he was a little confused. But, after a moment of clarity, he was as excited to hear that we were having a baby as I was to tell him!

Even though it was 11:30 at night, we called a fmy mom and dad. I think they have been waiting for this day to come for quite some time. Brian's parents received the news the next day...it was so cute when we told them they were going to have to "revise" their Christmas letter!

I am five weeks along...and doing great!

Except for being tired ALL THE TIME, running to the bathroom more than normal, and what Brian has dubbed "baby brain", I feel amazing. I must say, I do miss drinking and Coca-Cola...just a little. But other than that, things are moving along nicely so far....did I mention the baby brain...Brian says, "we can't both be fat and stupid!" Oh well...

Right now, the baby books say that it's about the size of an orange seed and the shape of a tadpole (tail and all)...so, we have named it Pollywag :o)

Our first doctor's appointment is January 11, 2010. Then, I will be eight weeks along...we will get to hear the heart beat and take our first sonogram picture.

More to come...stay tuned!
